Hmmmm. I must be missing something or maybe I stumbled onto a "Ford Solution". You know ~ a better idea.

I just click on favorites, hold the mouse button down, drag my most frequented favorites up to the top, and release. They stay where I put them until I move 'em again.

Then I organized them into relevant subject folders and re-stacked the folders. I can scan through the folders and a cascade menu opens revealing the contents of that specific folder.

Did you guys miss that solution? Or were you avoiding the setup work and expecting the browser to read your mind about how you wanted your favorites indexed?

Could be a W2K pro problem, tho. I dunno. I'm still using 98 and IE 5.5 after abandoning "Netscape 4.whatever" that caused frequent lockups.
