Yes. The LA City Department of Water and Power has a surplus. During the shortages, LA has been selling market-rate electricity to the exchange. It's totally remarkable.


I find this area of interest. Is there a URL of which you are aware that details their ability to produce, etc.? I can't find a lot specific to LA itself.

By the way, this part of the country is using huge amounts of heating oil and natural gas this winter. No surprise but the cost to the average income household is significant. I have customers mentioning it all the time.
