Rambi,

So much of our charitable giving is worthy, but faceless and general, small donations sent into the ether never to be heard from again. How much more rewarding to give to a cause that has not only the faces of children on it, but the faces of all our friends here at SI giving together to that specific cause and perhaps to eventually see the result!

How true. With this project, letters will be posted by the schoolchildren and there will be no doubt as to what happened with the money. Your personal story with your son hits home, since many times I have given to charities in the past I felt good, but I was always curious where the money eventually wound up. I guess chairty is similar to religion, you need to take a leap of faith. With this cause however, hopefully that leap is somewhat smaller since you will be able to read about the difference your donation has helped make.

. I think I'll feel much better about this investment than most of my others in 2000.

ROTFL. I can identify with this all to well also.....unfortunately.

I have taken the liberty of posting the site on my thread, (feeling sure that you won't mind at all).

This project necessitates as many SIers spreading the word as possible.

Happy New Millenium to All.

Regards,

Brian
