Microsoft encourages users not to use Internet, Network etc. technologies. Their OEM installation CDs, their shrink-wrapped software packages, their online security surveys etc. all show that. It's only Linux and other inferior software, where you use such primitive and useless technologies as internet and computer networks to install software.
