Jason, I have always found it interesting the way that those who are the biggest critics will find plenty of time to do DD on their criticisms. Yet when asked to contribute to the thread, they back out. You aren't the first.
Ok, you're right. Since I lurk and mainly point out the negatives, I'd agree to volunteer to track a few of your 2001 portfolios. As I remember, you had 4 main portfolios for 2000. If you do something along those lines, I'd keep tracks of their performance through the year. I'll keep up to date with all changes you submit, splits, dividends, etc...Seems only fair to pitch in...

Really? What? You go from place to place "looking for acknowledgement of a poor year"??? And how, may I ask, does this help you? And what good does this do? To me it is a waste of time.
No, Rande. It's similar to the way you'd like analysts to be held accountable for upgrading stocks near the highs, and downgrading at the bottom. You are in a similar position as many analysts: Many people follow you, and my attempt was to highlight that even YOU had a poor year, no one hear mentions it, for fear of "hearing" your wrath.

As for criticism, no, I don't take it well. With the number of sacrifices I have consistently made on a daily basis for two years here, I am simply not interested in whining. The amount of time I put in posting my thoughts is not just for the thousands of wonderfully gracious patrons of our community. . . .but for the few ungratefuls as well. I don't log in the number of hours I spend answering email of a personal nature. . . from those wanting to know what to do next after losing their homes, families, spouses, etc. due to margin calls, daytrade gambling debts, or borrowing against their house to daytrade, etc., etc., etc., . . . . . or from those who have made so much money that they don't know what to do next or how to act. Or from those who are lonely. . . .worried. . . confused . . . ill. . .in need. . . You have no clue what it is that I REALLY do here!
You spend alot of time here, so you can't be criticized? Time spent does not make you immune from criticism. And you do the same song and dance every time I come and point out some piece of information that I disagree with. You wax poetic about self sacrifice, endless hours helping poor souls, the empoverished, etc...(which by the way, you do very well, it just gets old fast!)

Before you ever started coming around,
I've been around for quite a while.

If you read every post, you'd know that. But why bother, when it is easier to just stop in once every 2 months to take pot shots at me. . . like you have for about a year and a half now.
I'd say I read >95% of all posts.

Finally, I wish you'd see that my criticisms are not sharp tongued, just an attempt to bring out the truth when I see you, as the leader, possibly sugar-coating or hiding details in what has been a trying year for very many people.

Jason, I wish you the highest level of prosperity and the maximum joy possible for 2001.
Thank you, sincerely.

Jason
PS- When you post the new ports for 2001, I'll get to work setting them up, and update them whenever you say!
