Dale, You know, this same thought occurred to me over the weekend. A quarter point gain on 15,000 shares would be $3750. Nothing to sneeze at. In fact, I was thinking as high as 30,000 shares (if purchased at 3/4). That would take all I have in my portfolio, though. But this has been intriguing me for awhile. The ASK has not been under $1 since May 16.
Since the ASK did not hit 7/8 on Friday, either - they must have let someone in at that price due to sheer volume. So, in their minds, volume speaks. This is what I was wondering about. I'd have to place an order at precisely the moment when the stock was 7/8 at market, and the ASK was higher than 7/8. Yes, for this person who rolled the stock in one day and made a nice profit = excellent timing. No wonder the volume was 64K!
Thanks for letting me know about that trade. You might have been reading my mind?
Good luck to you next week and look for an email I'm just about to fire off.... on yet another stock to keep an eye on! Unfortunately, this company is not covered in SI. |
