Ivan,

A compression low is seen when price has dropped significantly, leveled off for 3 or more days (3 to 8 is usual) and then goes into a very tight (compressed) daily range relative to the daily range seen over the previous 1 to 6 months. Volume for the week going into the compression is often much greater than that of the previous several weeks.
