You may want to put VLNC back on your radar screen. The recently did a deal to buy up some patents from Telecordia, which they have been promoting as, in effect, unifying the technology needed to make these batteries. Now they are suggesting that they are going to transition from a manufacturing company to a licencing model.. Changing business models, as we all know, is a hallmark of a story stock. The Telecordia deal just received government approval last week, I expect that they will have some announcements (ie licence deals with no up front money and the hope of future revenues to keep the masses hot) to pump the stock in early January. This would likely be followed by a floorless convertible or other form of dilutive equity. By my calculation, they should be just about out of money right now. Later this month may be a good time to reestablish a short. Just some musings to keep you interested. good luck and happy shorting in 2001
