I've read a few of them (quarterly reports) .. couple of years ago. I'm thinking that earnings may have been elevated by ~20% from investment gains. That may be high. Lets say that it's 10% .. if that extra 10% isn't there this time .. or even worse .. suppose there was a loss this time. I agree that forward statements will play a strong role. However, this time, there may be questions about investment earnings expectations .. If the investments have been heavily weighted in tech ..
