I recall your reluctance due to questions about BRK's insurance business. Did you ever get comfortable enough with the insurance business and "float" to pick some BRK up? I am glad that I did. Bought some B shares in late 98 and early 99 as prices continued to drop. When Buffett essentially said "BUY,BUY,BUY!" in his annual letter, I couldn't resist picking up more. Message 13208661 As a novice BRK shareholder my understanding of Buffet and his amazing company continues to grow. The wonders of "free" float combined with Buffett's brilliance in capital allocation continue to make for a financially and intellectually rewarding experience. All the best and Happy New Year.
