To all or Any Tax Time. Question. Cap Gain/Loss When making a sale of stock, can I choose which purchase to put the gain/loss against if I have purchased the stock at many different times in the past x years? Have asked this question to accountants, brokers, and irs with as many differing answers. Any suggestions on references would be helpful.
