Globe says Alberta Energy eyes gas storage facility Alberta Energy Company Ltd AEC Shares issued 140,360,930 2000-10-12 close $62.8 Friday Oct 13 2000 In the News The Globe and Mail reports in its Friday, Oct. 13, edition that Alberta Energy Co. says it is nearing a deal to buy or lease another natural gas storage facility in the United States, adding to its already large position in the sector. The Globe's In Brief column reports that AEC, operator of the huge AECO-C storage hub in Alberta that is the key pricing point for Canadian gas, is in talks with U.S. gas utilities to buy a storage unit for under $100-million. AEC has not disclosed which regions are under consideration or which companies it is in discussion with. Hopefully Epic will be part of some deal with AEC in the future. Don't really know what stage we at right now. Anyone have any comments? truth
