Patricia,

A couple of years ago? Your gay stepbrother was aware of W a couple of years ago?

Sorry I don't buy it. I am a hard-core Republican and I was not really aware of W as a possible contender until early 98 and this was only small talk with fellow Republican trying to handicap the 2000 race.

As for another gay telling another gay? Hmmm, seems if that was true they wouldn't need that crazy device I heard about a while back called "Gaydar". Yes, Gaydar was a beeper/wireless system that someone thought would be a nice way to identify other gays in clubs. You get near someone who is gay and your "Gaydar" starts flashing or beeping or something. I don't know if the idea really took off, but the point is that it must be pretty tough to tell if someone is gay if you need a personal radar system.

One last note, I am not a super-good looking guy or anything, but I have been hit on many, many times by gay men. One actually prevented me from being comfortable in a place that I had regular business. The point here is that I am not a closet case, or even a latent homosexual, but it seems that many gay men thought I might be. Good thing for my self image that an occasional women is attracted too -vbg-

Anyway, I think this is grasping for straws.
