I didn't indicate anything. "Pay the 5 bucks" is an old cliche for paying a fine rather than contesting. Nowhere did I mention $50. I did not comment on any other detail than this: he did not contest, but accepted the fine. I do not recall anything about his drivers license accept that his Maine license was suspended, and he tried to get it reinstated. Was there something about expunging the record? So what? If I were embarrassed, I might do the same thing. The breathalyzer measured him as being "at the legal limit". It was contestable. He chose not to contest, but accepted the guilt and sentencing. Since he accepted guilt and sentencing, he was fined and his license was suspended. (By the way, are you under the illusion that all of those arrested are therefore guilty?) Please, try to respond to what I post......
