The point being that if you're big enough, you can ship a buggy PCI controller and say it's a good thing? "Moving technology forward" and all that, like with RDRAM? Sounds like FDIV to me. I always found this gorilla game stuff counterintuitive, in terms of "free market" platitudes anyway.
