what I said was that we have no way of defending ourselves against a massive missile attack and that is one of the reasons why star wars was bagged. Who's to say what will be invented in the future? We have or will shortly have the technology to defend against limited strikes. If we cancel the ballistic missile defense programs then we are unlikely to randomly stumble across some way to defend against a massive attack. If you don't advocate eliminating those programs then we are far close in opinion then I thought but I don't think this is true. Tim
