Palm is my largest holding. I have it, because I think that the Palm OS will play a key part in mobile computing, and potential have a Microsoft-like dominance. Along the way, I hope Palm to wrap up surrounding and extending markets such as wireless portals, mobile servers, handheld games, mobile instruments (medical and electrical), digital wallets, mobile consumer gears such as digital camera, etc...
The mobile portal will be very important. Much like Yahoo!, it will be able to offer mobile commerce functions. Of course, Yahoo!, AOL, and the service providers are not going to sit along. It will be all up to Yankowski to pull this off. With limited knowledge on his career, I am not comfortable enough to think that he can deliver, but so far, he has executed flawlessly.
