I won't be surprised to see a intraday rate cut based on Greenie's last move in 1998:

"A surprise interest-rate cut from the Federal Reserve Board sent an already solid rally into overdrive Thursday, pushing the Dow up more than 330 points to 8,299.36. Technology stocks chipped in as well as the Nasdaq composite surged 70 points to 1,611.05.

The market was cruising along with a 100-point gain when the Fed announced it was cutting a quarter point off both the federal funds and discount rate. With 45 minutes left in the trading day, investors boosted the Dow to its third-largest gain in history. "

His last mid Nov speech also pushed the market up further on its already strong open.

I think mid to late Thur would be a good time to buy.

edit: TXN and INTC downgraded this AM. Now SOX's bottom would fall today. NAZ future -47.
