You're right, but if we do bounce from here I believe it pushes the necessary capitulation farther out into the future. I think the message the avg. investor is going to get over the next couple of days is that he or she cannot count on the January effect or anything else for that matter. Greenspan and the Fed are the only ones that can step in and turn the tide of negative sentiment. The waters are high, but imo, not high enough.
