Now Enigma,...is she a vulture or a guardian angel ;-)) How many stocks that she rejected have come back to make a mine,...none I can think of. One might,... ARP, but it still is not a mine, and given what happened on the Chilean side with ABX, Homestake may end up mothballing the Argentine side until gold prices improve,...which may not be until the central banks sell all their reserves in the year 20??, and the aliens stop manipulating the POG (ggggggggggggggggggg).
On the other hand, her criticisms of companies have highlighted some of the fatal flaws of many projects that everyone else was trumpeting as flawless, and she has a better record at making the right call in this market than many of us.
It's nice to get the positive,...but with the success rate in these penny exploration plays being under 1 in a hundred, perhaps knowing the negatives is the safer, and more lucrative way in the long run.
Given the history of these spec markets, these exploration plays should be treated as guilty until proven innocent. The brokers, anal-ysts, and management of these companies are in the business of making money for themselves first, by getting our money and spending it to support their personal and business pursuits. In the off-chance they actually hit something economic,...everyone gets rich, but if they don't, the "buy and hold till results" shareholder gets screwed.
A smart investor would be researching the stocks carefully to answer her questions thoroughly, and not relying on others to do the research for them. Proponents will only tell you the good things,...never the bad. There is always lots of bad,... with any project. |
