Several have been asking what I think about EMC getting hit so hard. I realize that this has been the source of much wealth over the past 3 years or so. But I have never been one to understand just why. Yes, many companies use their equipment for their storage devices, etc. Same with SUNW and their servers [at least Sun has Java]. But having just built 3 lightning fast servers over the past few months, I can say that the movement is toward more, smaller, cheaper and faster. . . . with 3 1/2 inch IBM, etc. hard drives running at 10kRPM or faster with storage of 100+ gig per drive. . . .at affordable rates. . .I just can't imagine why any company in tune with their bottom line would blow their dough on the "older" tech. A Terrabyte of storage can now be had for under $4K. . . and that is a LOT of words. I'm using multiple RAIDs with redundancy & back-up drives for everything, because they are so cheap.

So when asked where I think EMC will bounce. I must say that at 90 times earnings, I am not bullish enough about the company to pick a bottom. Sorry.
