Razor - I wasn't joking when I said that Richard Rainwater - ... had offered JQP's travel agent $1 Million cold hard cash; for privy to his next vacation (roflmao)- as it has been the only perfect market timing model in this incredibly volatile Oilpatch market cycle. In all seriousness. I do have my eye on a helluva trading opp in Tech . I have only been in strong positions in tech stocks on 2 occassions in the last 2 1/2 years. Oct 1998 and I sold way, way too soon - basically a quick 15-25% pop and then this past April/May NAZ blow off. have dabbled a bit since; but the opportunity to be flush with cash when that - MOAB opps hits; reinforces my patience. There will be plenty of "babies thrown out with the bathwater" on what I anticipate will be a final Tech/NAZ capitulation washout yet to come in tech. I want lots of ammo available for that. As far as shorting the E&P's - I am hoping that we either break out & up off the Fed Cuts; off of earnings reporting & upgraded analyst price targets, or a literal collapse of the Utility Market in California - a true "crisis" event - and hopefully either of the first three events coinciding with another round of harsh winter weather.... in essence; I'm waiting for one more round of Hogs to be gathered in the corral ....then it's gattling gun time....on the short-side. - and most assuredly; it's "WHEN, not IF". ... and I'll make sure I'll post it livetime for entertainment sake - so JQP can pop up out of his imaginary, mystical Max-Margin Mole Hole & take the other side of the trade - as he most obviously will (VBG). ;) PS: ..... I was humbled by my Fightless Irish. - but, Ole Erickson has formed a new band of outlaws & thugs up in Corvalis.... aka "Little Miami" ... hell of a team. Miami looked awfully good; If FSU beats OU - hard for me to give FSU the title... Is this a case for a sweet 16 Bowl Game Playoff system, or what ? - 4 weeks in Jan (or 3 weeks with the top 8 teams in a playoff system)- biggest TV revenue event potentially in all of sports.
