JQP...you've got the Pinocchio virus bad I see (VBG).

You of all people should be able to relate to "House Calls" - roflmao~

And now you agree with that other poster that the best time to buy tech stocks is after their earnings warning ?

WHAT !?!?!? - Q; you've allready been there & done that - with all those tech buys of yours in LU, WCOM on those earnings warnings back at NAZ 3000+ and 35% ago for WCOM , LU et all... they kept falling.

There have been few if any "DCB" turnarounds in Tech off of earnings warnings - you can't possibly be that ignorant.

Did you read what you said ?

re: your concern for me personally....

(Gee; I didn't know you really cared....)

I've got a portfolio weighted postion in Gold & Silver at a XAU 45 cost basis + some nice trades that aren't factored into that basis. I'll take that and I'm patient and I am not "max margined" either ;)

HM KGC NM HGMCY & others popped 40-60% off those bottoms; because I wasn't "max margined" - I could buy the dip & flip some gains off that bottom bounce and rotate to laggards and buyback the pullbacks on the mo-mo leaders.

Gold Stocks are much, much harder to predict a breakout on... check out a 15 year chart - last 5-6 moves were "all" classical "V-bottom" moves. With the Lesson there being - you must allready be in to capture the Gold moves... and I'm "there"

I'll be fine; but thanks for caring.

"Q" - I think you're a little confused on "tech"... but, that should be nothing new.

Don't you remember all the ankle-bites (yours included - as you bough WCOM, LU et al about 35% higher than where they are today (VBG).

I called for NAZ 2558 back when the NAZ bounced back over 3000 and was pilloried by Rock, Richard Dean, yourself and others.

I went short; not long the Sox, the BTK, QQQ's & some individual techs since that NAZ 3200 bounceback level and I did very well thank you.

I was a Pig, not a Hog & did leave some money on the table on the downside; as I obviously covered a bit too early. But; then again Q; all I ever want is that fat; Big & Easy money - middle 65% of the move & I got it.

You don't remember when you went long into my short call ie: the aformentioned WCOM , LU et al... again; would you like me to link those posts ?

Is your memory fading; or are you just experiencing Max-Pinocchio over-ride here - ie: my "long" tech call ?

My only long "tech" macro call was April this year - when I exited basically at the top of the OSX move & waltzed over to the ashen ruins of NAZ-land to pick up the pieces... you remember being led to PKTR among others don't you Mr. Follower (VBG).... you allways arrived on the bandwagon sooner or later; just like you did in the E&P's....

Did I dabble in a few techies during the summer; long & short; yes... some won, some lost; but there was no "macro" call there - let alone some bull$h!^ call on "max margin".

I was criticized for that April Oilpatch exit to enter the NAZ blow off as well - but, it proved to be the top to that leg.

I was criticized for seeing better risk vs reward upside in tech in April & was right again there.

I was criticized for taking 75% of my money out of the market in late August & that turned out to be a point that the OSX still hasn't bounced back too and held yet & I was right there too.

I was criticized for shorting tech & making that NAZ 2558 call here on this thread of late & I was right again there.

I was criticized for establishing a portfolio weighted position in Gold & Silver during the cheapest 90 day window in XAU history & I am allready right there for a net 10-15%ish gain, allthough admittedly not much to write home about yet; but I will be "real right" - in due time.

I was criticized for taking profits in the Oilpatch of late; too early ...ie: exiting at OSX 110 on that bounce from OSX 94 & putting that money in the bank & positioing to go short on Nat Gas E&P here shortly - calling the top to the Nat Gas E&P's forming here - and if we haven't allready seen it here; it's coming off Q1 reporting... so tic, toc... and only time will determine if I am right again there.... but, I will be.

Hubris ?

... yes.

But; as Yogi said - it aint bragging if you can, or did do it.

Read 'em & weep.

Would you like me to link a few posts verifying those facts ?

As far as your Palladium call; I've had SWC in a basket for a while; untill dumping it at that pop to $40 and you got my PM on taking profits due to SWC's hedging capping & limiting their futher upside to a Palladium move & I'm sure you allready dumped your 100 shares on that pullback from $40 to $32....

You "MAX MARGINED" on Oct 25th on this thread - directly into an oilpatch collapse (again); from OSX 125 to 94.

You refused to answer any & all livetime questions as to if you were holding, or folding.

Then when it became obvious that you were decimated (again)... you disappeared (again) - reappearing only after the smoke had cleared (again) - claiming to have been on vacation for literally the 4th, or 5th time in a row that the Oilpatch sold off (again)....

"Q" - you are the "Cut & Paste" Cheerleading Queen... hell; you were allways the ideal candidate for that job anyway... but; you've even lost all your hystrionic crediblity of late... as everyone remembers your prior tear jerker- mea culpa post of getting margin call liquidated the first time in addition to your "3 for 3" MAX MARGIN forrays directly into Oilpatch selloffs since...

You've fooled no one - except the # 1 fool himself.

,,, it's your story - we'll let you tell it.

Just don't get mad when we laugh.

Lots of blood red out there in E&P land today - Gee; whodathunkit.... - 8% on XTO the nat gas poster child etc.... OSX pulling back to the "teens" sub 120 soon.... all into "record Earnings"....

NO ONE here - no one; saw this and it wasn't even hard.... it was merely FUNDAMENTAL... as why would anyone pay more in the future, for falling eps & cfps ?

Say hello & maybe good bye to the peak of the Nat Gas plays guys....

tic toc

PS: to answer all the PM's on me spreading all this gloom & doom to "Talk my Short position"....

... me short the Nat Gas E&P's ?

- what would give you that idea ?

;)

... Jim L;

I never criticized your "thought process"... not throwing everyone here in the same basket.

We know who was buying the early earnings misses in Tech 35% ago; we know who went "MAX MARGIN" directly into an OSX blow off of 30% and failed to answer anyone about it - hiding & claiming to be on vacation untill after the smoke settled (again)... we know who allways claims to be "glad he sold earlier" after the sector collapses....and we know who was virtually alone here who said sell short the NAZ pop over 3000 and not only take the Nat Gas money & run here; but be poised to short it as well...

- I think someone also said earlier; to expect lots of early tax oriented profit taking the first part of January - as that was a no-brainer...

... so you NG Cheerleaders holding, or folding today - roflmao ?

XTO - a double+/JQP ouch on max margin today and it aint over yet boys & girls... the technical short sellers will be smelling & seeing the blood shortly - bank on it.

Lots of mo-mo money will be exiting the patch after running it up; to play the Tech bounce on the Fed cuts.... again; I think someone said that earlier too...

Hubris.... it's a wonderfull thing (VBG).

Wonder if those shorts will be covering XTO near the close ?

HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO000000000000000000oooooooooooooo Ha ~
