I am not wearing bib overall's but ya still got me concerned here. If I pass you a cold one, will you explain to me
what kind of noise exactly you are speaking of, coming from the backhoe??? Feel free to name names!!!

Well, there's the marvelous din coming from a big turbo-charged diesel engine running at full throttle, but that gets pretty old after a while.

So I just replaced one din with another by putting in a stereo system loud enough to overcome the machine's song.

I usually listen to Rush when I'm in the machine. If you're not familiar with them, especially their older stuff, the vocalist sounds like Tiny Tim being electrocuted. Great stuff!

Used to also mix a lot of Queen in there, but that elicited even weirder looks from the locals.

One thing I'd love to do stereo-wise, is outfit my next truck (my current one was never intended to be a keeper) with the most powerful system I can squeeze into it. Then just wait for one of those kids in the little Hondas with their super-loud "music" they're sharing with everyone. At those moments, I'd love to crank up the Finale to Beethoven's 9th loud enough to drown them out. Or maybe some Barry Manilow. Or Frank Sinatra. Or Bay City Rollers. You get the picture...

Now, where's my cold one?
