good. glad you found the post useful. please advise if you made any changes. many of them looked worthwhile to me, and i only foresee difficulty in that the tweaks are generic.

i also foresee difficulty for people tweaking when they're not sure what they're doing.

and so i restate, your mileage may vary AND my attempts at assistance may have nothing to do with what is in fact going on with your computer, either before or after you take it upon yourself to scramble the eggs.
