Just to give an example of what can happen when you get caught short... I was short 300 each BRCD, SEBL and JNPR before the cut, while CNBC was on commercial break (thank God) the Naz futures suddenly went from unchanged to up 80, I hit buy 3 times as the orders were already loaded, got out of all my sebl at 55 3/16, and all jnpr at 106 1/2, as for brcd, got filled for 200 at 70, didn't get the last 100 until 85, ouch. I'll take it though, had I been in the bathroom or taking out the trash I'd be 10-15K lighter. I plan to show this to my wife so she will never ask me to take out the trash during trading hours again.
