If I understand his commentary correctly from yesterday,
he was/is expecting a trend change 1/11. His best guess was
that if no rate cut, then a low 1/11. He mentioned if he
was completely wrong, and there was a rate cut, then to
expect a high on that date. Hope that helps. I haven't been
very diligent keeping up on my reading lately, so I'm not sure if
there was an expected trend change on/around today. Actually, if I recall correctly, he was calling for a trend change a few weeks ago at the end of 2000, beginning of 2001. Close enough
I guess. Guess I'll have to re-think my current attitude of
not going long, or wait until 1/11 for shorting opportunities. If we get a pullback from today's monster move, I will most likely go long until 1/11. If no pullback,
I may just wait.
Thanks for inspiring me to check up on Hahn's commentary.
Regards,
Eichler
