The Commission is smoking Cubans tonight.
IDX now has their foot in the door with VRSN....and this is very, very good. I, of course, have been predicting that this must happen (for years).....as VRSN needs to be involved.
The cool part of this is not just the 96% market share VRSN enjoys...but the fact that John Percelli, from AG Edwards...is the lead analyst for VRSN.....and 12 months ago, we flooded his office with IDX stuff....he had no clue who IDX was.... Today, I'm sure the 4 wire service releases were in his face. I know he knows now.
Yesterday, Percelli was double-pounding the table on VRSN....saying that "computer security stocks" are THE place to be this year......(His timing was darned good!)
He he, I'm ahead of the curve....I think IDX is a computer security stock.
Not only do we have a deeper VRSN relationship to look forward to....but I think some additional coverage also. I'm looking for an OEM agreement with Motorola soon...also. I think their biometric products should begin rolling out by the Summer.
And.....the interest rate cuts are great.....not just because my house goes up for sale in 45 days......but I think the oversold condition of the market may finally be on the mend.....and I think we will see another 1/4 point at the next fed meeting......3/4 point in 30 days?....Yikes!
And.......If you have not noticed yet.....IDX was the #1 gainer on the AMEX today......of non-basket, and under $5.00 stocks....so Identix should be highlighted tonight on the Nightly Business Report.
