Thanks Henry, for the response! it helped to 'soothe' my suspicious nature -as i have to admit that 'historic fears of German expansionism ' are exactly the fears that came into my mind when first i read this article. perhaps unfounded, but i am certainly not informed enough about German (or european) politics to know which way the wind is blowing... so appreciate input. fun read Uncle Alan Greenspan gives the markets a bubble bath telegraph.co.uk
