RE: "The cost of toilet seats in the 80s "

Now I'm curious... how much were they?

Amy J,

Well, I thought $600 was pretty cheap for a military toilet....what cost $600 was not a toilet but a toilet seat. And there was an Air Force airborne coffee maker for 14K. It could add cream and sugar, make lattes and toast bagels all at the same time.....only kidding, as far as I know it could only make coffee.

"They planned for a six-hundred-ship navy. They bought toilet seats at $600 each, and an Air Force airborne coffee maker for $14,000."
