Anyone catch Cramer on CNBC pushing financials. He hates the optical stocks per his columns. I agree the financials are great (I am very overweighted in banks/brokers). I believe optical and networkers are even better. There has been no real slowdown in spending on optical in the telco budgets. In addition, they are likely to overspend trying to take advantage of weaknesses in the smaller CLECs. I sure would want to speed up my network buildout in a bad economic environment. That is why JDSU/SDLI and maybe even Corning are going to blow out earnings. In addition, expecting forward looking guidance to stay intact. The danger had been risk on future earnings. Can't wait for the JDSU presentation at some conference on January 9th. I just can't wait. I believe the stock goes up significantly ahead of that date.
