Ted, we all did well on this bounce, but I'm glad I didn't take your advice on Techs! Actually, today I bought some CPQ (only a few hundred shares). I used the rally to sell out of a LOT of my positions. I'm still holding AMD, SNDK & GSTRF (a little bit of GX also).

Dave,

I may well be wrong but remember one day does not make a rally...actually, it does make one.....a bear rally. Inktomi and another tech stock both warned after the close and both lost all of today's gain in AH.

That's exactly the kind of thing I am worried about. So I plan to stick with companies who's current earnings are solid or will benefit almost immediately from the rate cut. Besides, this past month is the first one in 8 where my portfolio has steadily gone up and not down.

In any case I think you are smart to use any rally to get out of some of your positions where you have been under water.
