Been doing a little more with wellinvested.com tonight. First, I don't think you can sell your strategy, but you can definitely share it with others. My misunderstanding. It has tools to find strategies that fit a stock, and stocks that fit a strategy. In addition, the backtesting can be done on the long and/or short side but only assumes some amount of configurable equity. You cannot specify a fixed number of shares. Like MetaStock, WI will create an equity curve, chart showing entries, exits, and relevant tech indicators, and a table of trades for each back test. The back test overview also shows max drawdown, compares to buy and hold, total profit/loss, number of trades, and number of profitable trades.
You subscribe to stock-system pairs. For example, if you had system1, system2, and system3 and watched CSCO and SNDK, you have 6 total subscriptions. From looking at the interface, my guess is that the system will assume you took trades at the given price and show you your total P/L. The "My Strategies" page shows that I am currently flat on all my subscribed systems since I just started tonight. As signals come, I'm sure that page will be updated.
The web interface is one of the very best I've seen. Kudos to their web programmers and designers for such an excellent job. This site could be a big hit if they get enough successful systems on board.
