It's much more likely that the OS used is the same used in MOST embedded products: "proprietary".

Frankly, the Intel audio player product is probably too simple to need VxWorks. And the licensing cost would probably be prohibitive. It's equally unlikely that they would use EDIG's MicroOS for the same reason - cost. (At least with VxWorks you are getting a real chunk of functionality for the licensing cost...)

Elizabeth and others keep trying to "connect dots" and read between the lines, trying to turn up EDIG's MicroOS everywhere. To compare MicroOS with VxWorks is just ludicrous. The levels of effort put into each product, and the level of functionality are orders of magnitude apart.
