Frank- Maybe I need to clarify my statement. I am still very tempted to play the highs and lows BUT

1. It takes up a lot of time, which has been pointed out to me numerous times on this thread.
2. Market psychology is tempting to test but exhausting at times. Irrational behavior is hard to predict.
3. By saying long term I mean being in the market but maybe at times not being fully invested and taking some cash occasionally when common sense tells me some stocks have run up too quickly. But then again the stock just might keep running!
4. Experience and age.
5. Learning who to listen to (many on this thread) and not listening too closely to the self-serving analyst on TV and in print. This is especially true when recently the storage area was down graded by those in the "know". Let's get real. Information is expanding, not contracting and it needs to be stored. We are in an information revolution in it's infancy.
