I think any intrusion by the West will be resented. We are the Great Satan, after all. And those moderates who don't buy into the Great Satan stuff resent us for other reasons; McDonald's, Hollywood, rock music, etc.

The only chance I see for this girl to be spared is if an Arab or Muslim country intervenes.

btw, I think "history is not linear" was a rather trite and meaningless remark. Sometimes we should just go to bed. <g>
