Product standards, specifications, and production capacity in the new economy.

The largest economy in the world, generally sets the standards and specifications of products. The resulting patents and copy rights prevented the rest of the world from taking a large position in the market. If any one meets the standards and specifications; they can only be also ran.

Intel has been setting standards and specifications on CPUs; even including sockets. The success of Intel is soon to be designed away by Intel itself. The new socket of Slot2( cheap PC board fingers rather than expensive IC package pins) for new CPUs, will enable each and every manufacturer to build their cpu and chip set to be used in Slot2. The only dominance of Intel is only the temporary production capacity advantage. Such design that give away the market has to be a matter for the new economy policy to consider.

Many products and product cycle is design dependent. We have the best design software in the world. Any one can buy our design software. But the protectionism of market for individual manufaturer and industry lies in the Management's directives. All U.S.A. companies must have directives to set standards and specifications to protect the U.S. new economy.
