I couldn't have said it better myself. So why would I switch from Word 95/97?

Re speed: I didn't say it isn't nice to have. But no corporation changes s/w for a 10% increase in speed over the previous version. My tests indicate WP is about 50% slower than Word on a test document (my 300 page User's Guide for a software product).

I think you need to take off your rose-tinted (coral-tinted?) glasses. for a second. Corel has some upside, but it's not because it's going to grow its market share by 20 points.
