Yes, I have the Early Years CDs. I used to have some boots from 74-75, which were also excellent, but they ended up "missing" after a party one night. My favorite concert is Sydney, 1979... he talks about, among other things, all of the great cities of the world in which he has drunkenly vomited: Paris, Rome, Vienna, and now Sydney.

Waits is a master showman, and I don't think that "Nighthawks" entirely captures the brilliance of his live performances.

I also like his later work, though it is less accessible. Especially "Rain Dogs" and "The Black Rider".
