Hi everyone,

Interesting times, huh?

I notice in this morning's initial jobless claims release that the continuing claims have risen to the highest level in 2 1/2 years. The insured unemployment rate has risen two-tenths in December and should be followed by a rise in the unemployment rate.

If the unemployment rate jumps by a half-percent in the next three months, I look for the Fed to cut the FF rate by at least another 100 bp and 200 by summer.
