Energy sells off from time to time on short-term news. I think that natural gas and the services/drilling/exploration plays will do well most of this year. Utilities also aren't done but the California situation has created a small panic today.

We are witnessing some violent sector rotations as funds try to figure out where to park their bucks this quarter. I don't think it will settle down for a week or two.

ETR, BKH and UNS are relatively cheap at today's discount prices. I think they represent a good bet for part of your portfolio if you don't want to gamble on techs yet.

If tech earnings reports are painfully weak, money will be looking for safe havens again.

Insurance companies seeing ridiculous selloffs on no news too - AIG and XL looking attractive.
