Verizon announced wireless internet subscribers today.... In about six or seven months they signed on 750,000 wireless internet subscribers.... In October AT&T wireless said they had 300,000 subscribers at that time.... They were signing up people at a rate of about 70,000 per month.... I would guess that rate spiked a bit due to the Holiday season.... Would guess they have about 550,000 subscribers today.... Verizon 750,000 AT&T 550,000 Vodaphone ? SBC ? Omnisky? Alltel? Voicestream? Virgin? And Much More.... A MINIMUM of 1,300,000 subscriber Today! My guess is around 1,750,000 +/- That is nearly double their expectations of last winter and spring for year end 2000....
