I haven't been around a while, but this caught my eye yesterday and seemed to be very similar to what PTSC does:

....The latest funding will be used to complete the development of Zucotto's Xpresso Java native processors and accelerate their introduction to the market. The processors, including the X110 microcontroller and the X120 feature processor, offer best-of-class Java performance while consuming minimal power. Value-added extensions for the processors, such as Bluetooth personal networking, reduce cost and time to market, and legacy-friendly integration ensures the investment in the existing code base is preserved.
