John,
<< We've always felt like Silicon Investor's superior message board technology is one reason we have such loyal users. These changes will allow our heaviest users to read more messages in less time and widen the gap between SI and other message boards - features... released: In stages, but all during Jan/Feb/Mar (Q1), 2001. >>
I applaud SI's decision to have "BrowseMaster like" features added to SI, in stages, this quarter.
  Thank You.
I noticed that on December 20, Craig Richards offered to make a private version of BrowseMaster that he made for his own use, available to you:
  127.0.0.1:3456/SI/stocktalk/readmsg.aspx?msgid=15057051
I am VERY hopeful that you have taken him up on his offer.
It is highly unfortunate that SI made no effort in the last year to encourage Craig to offer a version of his exceptional program while SI focused on "infrastructure priorities".
That type of encouragement to developers has made many good companies, great companies.
That type of encouragement would have eliminated some of the pain and suffering of heavy duty users of the SI message boards.
Perhaps Craig would have though differently about discontinuing his exceptional and reasonably priced (underpriced, IMO) add on, IF he, like we, had any idea it would take this long to add similar features to SI, and if he had active encouragement from SI.
SI users have been deprived of an exceptional tool for a very extended period of time as a result.
User satisfaction with SI is, unfortunately at an all time low right now.
I am VERY hopeful that you have taken Craig up on his offer.
I am VERY hopeful that SI can execute on the promised deliverables.
I wish there was a version of BrowseMaster available to SI users at the moment.
  Have a GREAT New Year.
... and please get this exceptional message board running a bit (lot) better ... and I'd also like to say we are all grateful for your efforts on our behalf.
