VIENNA, Va., Jan 4, 2001 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Heroes, Inc. (NASDAQOTC.BB "HERS")
has been selected as one of only a handful of companies in the United States to
participate in the AT&T Aces Program.

The Aces Program provides corporate mentoring to companies that have exhibited
promise to excel in technological, environmental and social areas. Heroes, Inc.
is honored to announce that David Jefferson, Executive Vice President of AT&T
Broadband, has chosen to be that mentor.

Children's Heroes, a division of Heroes, Inc., will launch its community-based
affinity program to benefit educational programs and services in Q1 2001.

strongest business model I have ever seen in my career with AT&T." Jefferson has
made it his personal mission "to assemble a blue ribbon panel of corporate
partners to make sure that the vision of this special company reaches every

Heroes, Inc. has recently completed its acquisition of Children's Heroes, Inc.,
a community-based fundraising, sales, marketing and training company, serving a
primary market of 108,000 K-12 public schools, as well as secondary markets of
over two million youth sports teams and community-based non-profit children's
groups.

Rather than offering traditional fundraising products, Children's Heroes has
developed an electronic catalog of competitively priced products, services and
subscriptions sold through Internet e-commerce sites, as well as through local
bricks and mortar merchants at the point-of-sale (POS).

Heroes' "point-and-click to knowledge" concept originated in 1997, and was
developed through 1998. Last year the Company was awarded a 3-year exclusive
contract to implement systems within the Metropolitan Regional Educational
Services Agency ("MRESA") area of the state of Georgia, which consists of
approximately 715 schools. The Company successfully completed 192 schools in
1999, which represented audited revenue in excess of $20 million. A substantial
portion of the funding for these progressive technology projects is provided
through federal grants from the FCC Universal Fund, and the balance is provided
by local school budgets or corporate, non-profit sponsorships.

Heroes, Inc. provides and supports a universal turn-key package of network
connectivity and computer hardware and software. That package is the
infrastructure by which a comprehensive library of educational video resources
is delivered to enhance and facilitate teachers' daily lesson planning and
classroom presentations. Heroes, Inc.'s integrated offering includes
teacher-user training. Heroes, Inc.'s strategic goal is to increase student
achievement and improve learning levels and test scores for students. Heroes,
Inc. is currently positioning to expand its services to include additional
regions of the United States, as well as several other countries.
