i don't know if you watch CNBS, but today's bottom hyping exercises were the most blatant i have ever seen there. if i hear the phrase 'mountain of cash on the sidelines' one more time...-g- the handful of skeptics that still exists on WS was ridiculed an hour before the market opened already (the old "we'll make a note of who you are" routine) then they had a guy on who insisted the first month after the first rate cut is always the best, followed by the second and third month after the cut (that's incidentally simply not true!) and another who expects a 40% rally for the NAZ over the next few months... the reason i'm mentioning this is because it looks to me like a concerted campaign, coinciding with the panic rate cut, and designed to avert a different kind of panic.
