So the California power companies were not given permission to raise rates to what they desired and there is serious concern that PG&F and Edison could go bankrupt. I wonder how high our power rates will go up if PG&E and Edison stop generating electricity?

And if the California power industry is de-regulated, why do they need permission to raise rates? I must be missing something.
