I see the "word" is finally getting out.. You're the first person I've notice, other than myself, to openly admit that here on SI.

I literally had to beat a bunch of Gore supporters over the head with this information earlier this fall. They just couldn't seem to grasp the fact that Gore's "lock-box" was just more smoke and mirrors.

Bush, and the bi-partisan Senators who first authored his SS reform plan, has the right idea. And that is simply to permit taxpayers to take 2% of their 15% FICA taxes and divert it to an accredited IRA plan. It would provide them real ownership of a hard asset, as opposed to being a recipient of a government entitlement that future taxpayers are burdened to pay for.

Martin Gross has written some interesting articles on the fraud that is the current SS system, and how the SSTF actually increases the US national debt.
