BelAir Energy Corporation Completes Amalgamation of CrownJoule Exploration Ltd.
CALGARY, ALBERTA--BelAir Energy Corporation (BEC: TSE) announced that the amalgamation of BelAir Energy Corporation with CrownJoule Exploration Ltd was completed on December 31, 2000. In May 2000, BelAir acquired 94% of the outstanding shares of CrownJoule and, under compulsory acquisition provisions, subsequently acquired the remaining 6% of the outstanding shares to make CrownJoule a wholly owned subsidiary of BelAir on July 5, 2000. The amalgamated company will continue under the name of BelAir Energy Corporation.

Based in Calgary, BelAir is involved in the exploration and exploitation of petroleum reserves in Western Canada. BelAir is listed on The Toronto Stock Exchange and trades under the symbol ``BEC''.
