In Michigan, the auto companies are projecting sales of approx 15.5 million units this year. This is 12% less than 2000 and 1999. There are currently many thousands of jobs on extended Christmas leave for an extra 2 weeks. Christmas retail volume was not very good, either. So I think the Fed was trying to head-off a calamity. Unfortunately, you were betting on the calamity. I hope you got some relief today.
